Club Championships

Club Indoor Pairs 2024/25 – Winners were Jamie Mitchell and Gary Kelly defeating Brett Sims and Paul Faorlin in the final.

Club Fours 2025/26 – Winners were Jimmy McRorie, Adam Daley, Aaron Spears, Craig Roberts (Substitute) and Gary Kelly defeating Andrew Johnston, Jimmy McKenzie, Todd James and Robert Glen in the final.

Illawarra Region

Men’s Senior Inter-Region Side - Trevor Gillis and Peter Thelan were part of the team that were successful and won the Senior Men’s Inter Region Championship.

Women’s Inter-Region Side - Vicki Turner, Leone Barnett, Lorraine Alaban (Reserve) and Diane Mackay (Manager) were part of the team that reached the semi-final of the Women’s Inter-region championship.

Junior 7 a side - Travis Moran and Zach Moran Represented the Illawarra Region at this event. They came 2nd overall. Travis Claimed a Gold Medal in the Singles Discipline and Zach claimed a bronze medal in the Pairs Discipline.

NSW

The Warilla Gorillas Platinum squad had an extremely successful season. They reached the final, unfortunately just falling short and defeated by Merrylands Magic in the final.

NSW Selections for Flynn Cooper in the U25 team, Corey Wedlock in the Open Men and Vicki Turner in the Senior Women. They’ve been selected to represent NSW in a test series against Victoria in August.

U18 Tri Series representation for Travis Moran. 1st August - 3rd August NSW Vs QLD and VIC.

Bowls Australia

Corey Wedlock represented Australia in Singapore in an inaugural event. Corey achieved success by winning the Lion City Cup alongside Lee Schraner.

Corey Wedlock and Aaron Teys have been selected to represent Australia in a tour of Scotland which commences late September.

Gary Kelly and Corey Wedlock will represent the Club next month in the Australian Indoor Singles Championship.

Corey Wedlock finished the number one ranked player in Australia in the National Ranking 2024/25 year. Gary Kelly finished a respectable ranking of 4th and Aaron Teys ranked 15th.

Tournaments

Gary Kelly and Corey Wedlock were successful in winning both the Blue Diamond Pairs and the Australian Open Pairs at Broadbeach Bowls Club.

Travis Moran won the Australian open Boys (U18) Singles at Broadbeach.

World Bowls Series Ranking

In the current World ranking, Corey Wedlock is ranked 3rd and Gary Kelly is Ranked 9th.
